A great choice if you are sensible and decide to tour Alsace by bicycle. Pick up and drop off were slick and all automated, prices were very good and the e-bikes were of excellent quality and just what we needed for some of the hills. We enjoyed our rides so much we booked an extra day and explored more. Routes provided were very good, but you can obviously follow any of the great cycle routes throughout the region. Simply the best way to see a range of countryside and towns in style!

We had a wonderful day biking around little towns in the Alsace. The electric bikes worked perfectly and it was easy to check in / out. Heads up that service is VERY spotty throughout the region so I’d definitely recommend downloading an offline map beforehand. It was a little tricky figuring out where the bike paths were but it was a small price to pay for a great experience.

Very easy booking process.
40€ for a full day rental of a modern e-bike is very fair.
Fast responding from the service mail/phone made the experience even better.
Great concept.
Would I use Le Vélo Libre again?
Without any doubt.

Nice place, but very messy with the explanations - expecially if you have multiple accessories. I went with two bikes of different sizes and a baby sit, and i had to find all the informations like a treasure hunt - this lead me to waste the first 40 minutes of the rent. Also, i had to call the emergency service due to a problem in the communication of the range (it said 40km instead of the 100km advertised, but it was a fluke).
The bikes are very nice and works very well, they just have to put ALL the informations in ONE place instead of scattering them all around the rental - since you get a couple of "useless" reminder emails beforehand, that would be an incredible place to put all the relevant infos.

Rented 4 bikes at Riquewyr. Overall a good experience. Full self rental so don’t expect anybody on site. Bikes are of good quality but maintenance was lacking on mine: chain was very dirty and not properly lubed/greased - resulting in noisy speed changes. Saddles are somehow painful - as a regular road cyclist it was a surprise to me. Last thing: we ended up using the sign post on the road for cycle tracks to villages instead of the google maps links provided which sent us to D roads - too busy with cars.
